What service does WiO provide?
WiOffer, LLC, (“WIO”) allows you to safely engage with TV, Radio, Print, Out-of-Home or In-store media to receive information from your favorite advertiser brands directly on your mobile device. By using WiO you are taken directly to a WiO Action Page featuring the advertisers brand’s offer which is located on WiO secured servers.
From the WiO Action Page, you can select at your convenience, where and when you choose to engage. Once you engaged with your favorite advertiser brand for the first time, you can return to the WiO Action page either through your browser or through the unique WiO link in your messenger to re-visit.
GDPR and TCPA Compliant
WiO is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) compliant. This means we take your privacy information seriously. We provide any and all transparency to you while maintaining the highest security standard for your Personal Identifiable information.
Opt-Out & Opt-In
Prior to being directed to the WiO Action Page which features the advertiser offer, you will receive a Pop-Up message asking if we use can your location information including your IP address and or your Lat/Long Geo location for use with our tracking system. You have the option to answering “Yes” or “No”. If you click “No” we will not collect or use your location information.
To op-out in the future from WiO using your location data, you can email us at privacy@wioffer.com with your IP address and we can remove it from our database. If you’ve contacted WiO by Text you can opt-out in receiving WiO client offers by texting STOP to 888-992-0069. To resume receiving WiO offers, Text UNSTOP to 888-992-0069. What information do we collect?
We collect location data which includes your IP address and or LAT/Long GEO data. We use this data to determine the City, State, and Time Zone you’ve engaged with WiO client advertisers.
When you first text WiO’s Keyword to WiO we assign a unique WiO ID and store your phone number in a secured area of the WiO database. Other than you receiving the initial link from WiO, we do not text you, we do not sell your phone number nor use your phone number to learn additional information about you.
What information we DO NOT collect?
Other than your opted in location data and phone number, we do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information including social security numbers, credit card information or ad tracking cookies.
What information do we track?
When you visit a WiO Action Page we track the date and time when you visited, we collect your opted-in location data, and WiO Action Page actions you clicked on.
If you click on the actions, you are redirected to the any of the advertiser supplied unique URL’s, phone numbers or information. When you click on the actions you leave the WiO domain. We do not track your activity once you leave the WiO domain.
What are advertiser links, phone number or information?
WiO actions can link to an advertiser designated websites site, or dial or text a unique phone number provided by the advertiser. Advertiser entities, including websites and call centers have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the activities you experience with these entities. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
What do we use your information for?
The information we collect is used for generating reports for our advertiser clients. These reports are created to determine the effectiveness of their advertising. The Map and Daypart reports are the only reports WiO would use location data. These reports indicate what day, time, city and state the a user engaged and what actions you clicked.
How do we protect your information?
WiO DOES NOT provide, share or sell your data to any media brand or third party. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your activity on WiO servers. Your wireless number, and any username and passwords are immediately encrypted and stored in separate database servers with access only through an internal VPN connection which is secured with firewalls, SSH keys, and accessed through encrypted SSL/TLS. We employ Service Auditing Encryption and File Auditing and Intrusion Detection Systems. Only a few key WiO employees have secured administrator access to WiO data.
What reporting does the advertiser brand receive?
WiO provides a password protected dashboard for WiO client advertisers, their agencies or our media partners to access WiO reporting. The WIO reports are aggregated with information about overall activity including when and where users engage with the advertiser ads and what actions user clicked for that advertiser.
Do we use cookies?
BIG NO. We do not use cookies.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
